"All Legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

(Article I, Section 1, of the United States Constitution)

The ACSC currently collects three types of information from its Web site: (1) your IP (Internet Protocol) address; (2) information voluntarily submitted on the "Join the ACSC" online form or emails sent to a representative of ACSC; and, (3) cookies (user discretion).

IP addresses do not identify an individual. They are only a temporary name in which an individual obtains access to the ACSC Web site. The ACSC uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our virtual private server and to administer our Web site quality. The ACSC does not use IP addresses to personally identify users. A log file of IP addresses is used to determine which areas of our site visitors like based on the volume of traffic and to better prepare future site content based on the interests of users. Usage patterns of individual users are not tracked. Instead we track how well each page on our site performs overall.

Information voluntarily disclosed to the ACSC either online or in writing through the "Join the ACSC" online form, meeting confirmation forms, survey response forms, and email is added to the ACSC database to enable processing of a request, confirmation, or for appropriate response. The ACSC may distribute further relevant information to individuals identified in this way. The ACSC, on occasion, may also correspond with third parties for co-marketing or other activities related to the ACSC's goals and objectives and allow them to use select member information under strict confidentiality agreements.

Any information sent to the ACSC in non-electronic form may also be used in this way. Any individuals who would like to "opt out" of receiving additional communications from the ACSC should contact us to have their names removed from our database. Any corrections or other changes can also be made by e-mailing info@congresscenters.org or by calling (304) 876-5670.

The ACSC takes appropriate measures to assure the reliability of member information and to protect it from misuse or alteration. Member information is protected from access by Internet users by a firewall installed in the hosting virtual private server.
